I've kept up throughout my pregnancy with updates from babycenter.com. They send out a weekly email based on your week of gestation of updates on your baby's growth and developement and also symptoms your may be experiencing. Humorously enough, my pregnancy has pretty much lined up EXACTLY with the time line/symptoms in the emails. Morning Sickness in the first trimester and then it was like magic. Almost exactly to the day I began my 2nd trimester, the morning sickness went away. Either that or I figured out how to mange it better by eating first thing in the morning, ect. I've had first trimester round ligament pain that went away early in the second trimester and then again like magic, third trimester hit and.... IT'S BAAAAACK!!!! Wonderful. Not.
Embarrassing Pregnancy Experiences:
Speaking of ligament pain, for those of you who dont know what I'm talking about, it's a sharp stabbing pain on either side or both of your pelivc bone. Apparently develops as your belly grows and abdominal muscles stretch to accomodate the baby. I most commonly experience it, when I stand after sitting for a period of time and sometimes I just get smacked with it randomly when walking. Tony and I went to Chilis for a date night last week and when the host called us to seat us at our table, my husband who has MUCH longer legs than I but typically walks MUCH slower jumps up and takes off after our EXTREMELY fast walker host. The sudden movement of me trying to keep up resulted in QUITE a lot of pain. Hunched over/squatting I'm waddling as fast as I can behind them saying Ooo... Ooo... Ow... Ow... Ow... Ooo!!! Slow down. Slow down. FINALLY my husand turns around to find me slightly bent at the waist hobbling behind him like a ole cripply grandma all the while laughing at myself as I'm SURE I must be quite a sight to all the other random diners trying to enjoy their dinner. The look on my husband's face was priceless. lol What you need to understand is, as much as it hurts I was cracking up with embarrassment of how I must have looked in that moment. The ligament pain doesn't last long but comes on so fast and sharp that all you can do is hobble and wait it out. hahaha!!! Definitely a embarrassing pregnancy moment for me. :)
Other symptoms, when they say that sneezing can result in peeing yourself... They AREN'T kidding! Peeing yourself when laughing/sneezing/coughing is not just for old people. That applies to Preggos too! So word to the wise: USE THE RESTROOM OFTEN!! :) So that when you do find yourself in the need of sneezing ect, you don't wet yourself :) lol Thank the Lord this has NOT happened to me in public. I have however found myself praying QUITE fervently that I do not encounter any potholes or sneezes on my way home from work :)
Anyway, enough publicly embarrassing myself for one day :) I hope you all got a laugh :) :)
I lolled hard.
