Holy cow! We are definitely down to single digit weeks left!!! As of tomorrow 9 weeks and counting til we get to meet our little guy! I'm so excited but starting to feel a little anxious as there are still lots of things we need for the arrival of our little boy.
Feeling bigger everyday, I'm learning to ignore my HUGE appetite and eat frequent but smaller portions so that I don't feel like my stomach is going to bust open :) Braxton Hicks contractions are becoming a common occurance. They are kind of annoying but I AM glad to know what a contraction feels like even if they don't induce pain yet. I've read about many women who don't get Braxton Hicks contractions or they don't feel the at all when they do so they have no idea what to expect. I'm glad to have a little bit of an idea.
The nursery is pretty close to being finished. We got our dresser back after having it refinished and the crib is all put together. The wall is painted, curtains hung, and what baby clothes I have already purchased are washed and organized in the dresser :)
Earlier this week my sweet husband let me buy the sewing machine I've been wanting. I'm soooo excited to start making some bibs & burp cloths for my baby :) It's so exciting to think that i might have some thing to use for my baby that I made myself. I've also already made a nursing cover :) After I finish my burp cloths and bibs my next project is going to be to make a carseat canopy and baby sling. However I've still not decided if I will make an Adjustable Ring Sling or the simpler baby pouch. I think the Pouch would be cheaper to make but the ability to adjust the sling length would be nice too.
I can be extremely grateful though that just my back pain and feet swelling has kicked in, the weather is cooling off :) So I still have a reason to smile :) I am grateful every day that I have had a pretty easy pregnancy and even my husband tells people that I've done very good and haven't been a mean pregnant lady. lol I guess of all people, my husband would know best.
And finally to answer the questions of many, No. Our baby does not have a name yet lol. We have some options but have not felt ready to make a firm decision. So, for the time being, he's just "baby brownie". It's amazing how difficult it is to decide on a name. In my opinion, it's a SUPER big deal. Whatever I decide, my child will have to live with his whole life. It can't be taken lightly. lol As of now, it looks like we will probably wait to name our baby until he's born so we can be sure of what we decide.
Until I suddenly feel the urge to blog again...
